My name is Lela Prichett and I am a 1L this year. I’m from Columbia, Missouri and I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a major in Psychological & Brain Sciences and a minor in Religion & Politics this year. Like many of you, I decided to come to Georgetown because it is an amazing school located in the center of where laws are made. I am so grateful to be the representative for first year law students and I am looking forward to the rest of this year with BLSA!

Why did you join BLSA? I joined BLSA because I wanted to be a part of an organization that represented me. It’s empowering to be a part of an organization full of people that are experiencing the same things you are, that have been in your shoes, and that are in places where you want to go.
What is your mantra or motto? In the infamous words of Aaliyah, “If at first you don’t succeed, try again.”
